KRONE's digital signal distributor is a universal distribution system which can be installed anywhere in the transport network.
The development of transmission services such as ATM and XDSL has led to an intermingling of exchange and transmission functions. The digital signal distributor design concept contains universally installable passive distribution solutions based on a uniform connectivity concept for the various transmission media, i.e. for:

q	Symmetric cable, shielded and/or unshielded
q	Coaxial cable
q	Fibre-optic cable

With these media, data rates from 64kbit/s to 2.5Gbit/s can be bundled and distributed.

Basic elements of the digital signal distributors are distribution frames with pairs of parallel profile, rods which the connectivity components for the different types of cables can be snapped onto. Using the system components described below, distributors can be set up to meet customers' size requirements.
