A1 Vt COM (open distribution racks)
The basic element of open distribution racks is a basic frame with two pairs of profile rods (center-to-center distance: 95mm). LSA PROFIL modules (in particular, LSA PROFIL disconnection modules 2/8 x abs) and other modules, for example, for terminating coaxial and fibre-optic cables, can be clicked on to the profile rods. The user can arrange the racks back-to-back and in rows in order to achieve any required configuration.
The basic rack is completely assembled and consists of horizontal sections and two vertical, Z-shaped, perforated plates. These support the two vertical pairs of profile rods for attaching the connection components. The Z-shaped plates are used to guide and fix the system cables using the cable straps supplied. The jumper rings for vertical jumpering and through-connecting between racks placed back-to-back are located between the Z-shaped plates. The rack components are powder-coated or galvanised, respectively. The profile rods and profile holders are made of stainless steel. All the components of the rack are connected to a common earth potential. Points for connecting the FPE cable (min. cross-section: 50mm2 copper) to the earthing ring conductors are located on the top and foot rails of the rack.

Connection capacity:

The connection capacity depends on the length of the profile rods and on the height pitch of the modules and assemblies used. The table below shows an example of the connection capacities for LSA-PROFIL modules (see Order Numbers: 6971 1 200-00, 6971 1 201-00, 6971 1 210-00). Further, the Vt COM-Gf-600 is designed especially for use as a fibre-optic patching distribution frame(Order Number: 6971 1 221-00 and 6971 1 207-01). It has the connection capacity shown below. The Vt COM Gf-600 has a widened patching area with special FO guide elements in the cable area for optimal vertical and horizontal FO patching. :
